Need help with Maydi? You can find answers to common questions below, or contact support at kate.nguyen.dev@gmail.com.

Maydi is a travel expense-sharing app for iPhone. It keeps your trips on your device, works offline, and does the splitting math for you. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.

1. Using Maydi

2. Where your trips are stored

Maydi stores your trips only on your iPhone. Maydi 1.0 has no account, cloud backup, sync between devices, or restore, and it does not upload your trips anywhere.

Deleting Maydi may permanently remove your trip data. Maydi cannot restore trips after the app is deleted, and moving to a new iPhone does not bring Maydi trips with it through Maydi itself. If you want to keep a record of a trip, share its summary as a PDF or text and save it somewhere you choose (see below).

Your iPhone's own backups (such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup) are controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by Maydi, so Maydi can't promise whether they include Maydi data.

3. Earlier test versions with Cloud Backup

Some pre-release test versions of Maydi had an optional Cloud Backup. Maydi 1.0 does not. If you turned Cloud Backup on in a test version and want any remaining cloud copy deleted, email kate.nguyen.dev@gmail.com. See the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Exporting a trip summary

Open a trip's Summary and use the share button to Share as Text or Share as PDF. The standard iOS share sheet then lets you send or save the summary wherever you like — messages, mail, files, or another app. The export goes only where you send it. This is also the way to keep a copy of a trip outside Maydi.
